Welcome to the L. Mendel Rivers Library at Charleston Southern University.

Located next to Lightsey Chapel, parking is available in the rear lot. The entrance to the library faces the Science Building and the Reflection Pond.

• Named after Congressman L. Mendel Rivers (1905-1970)
• Selective depository of US Government documents
• Member of PASCAL, the state-wide academic library consortium which allows CSU students to borrow materials from any PASCAL member library
• Provides computers for student use, with wireless Internet access available
• Black & white and color laser printers are available, as well as a photocopier and a digital scanner
• Built in 1969; first floor renovated and a coffee shop added in 2006; second floor renovated in 2012; first floor renovated in 2017; coffee shop expanded 2021
